So, anyone else cracked the NaNoWriMo seal?

I finally broke the blank page today with a short burst of about 1500 words. I’ve outlined some, and thought about it a whole lot, which has revealed most of my plot. I’m an outliner. I like to know where I’m going while I’m going there. The best part about knowing where you’re going is that you can avoid going there if it is necessary. You can postpone it. And you can make it seem like that is the absolute last place that you’ll end up.

But the actual writing. That’s something else entirely. I tried to be as organized as possible and even organized the opening sequence of flashbacks/action while I was walking around the restaurant trying to avoid looking any customers in the eye. So I knew the novel would begin with the light extinguishing. Hooray. Has anyone else who’s participating in NaNoWriMo actually started what they believe will be their novel? I’d love to hear from anyone who’s on the path…
