This was from May during their positive message week. I found it while tooling around with the long-lasting fun button that they have called Random. Daily comics for like five years generates a whole lot of laughs. Here’s one.

Some of these quotes are really entertaining, and the stupidity of the general populace, at least, is often, and terribly frustrating. You know, I’ve been thinking about it, and I think David Kirby’s to blame for my long, confusing, meandering blogging style. I keep it somewhat at bay when writing poems, though sometimes you just yearn for a sentence with three adjectives and five nouns, you know? But yeah, Kirby and my rereading of his amazing and flowing poems has either affected my train of thought process, or it has tapped me into it, or maybe he writes poems like a blogger. What the hell is a blogger anyway? This is stupid. Which brings us back to the link of quotations about human stupidity. Here’s the page, and here are a couple of my favorites:

If there is one person I’ve really gained a new respect for in the course of my undergraduate work it’s Bill Cosby. The man’s really smart, and he has ideas, even if they aren’t all popular. So to honor him, here’s some horrible mockeries in Cosby Bebop, Dr. Dre Ft. Cosby, and Cosby contacts Neo.

This A Capella group has arranged Ben Fold’s version of Dr. Dre’s “Bitches Ain’t Shit” in an entertainingly fresh way… you know, for a cover. Definitely vulgar, so if the words in the title of the song offend you, you’re warned.

Just bounce around once you get there. The comic vault is vast and hilarious. In honor of Tyler Dilts, for introducing us to World War Z, a book I’d probably never have picked up on my own, I introduce you all to this Cyanide and Happiness.

Harry Potter and the Misleading Link. That’s all you really need to know. This clip is like 20 seconds long, so if you don’t enjoy it at all, it’s only a third of a minute. The day will still be young for you afterwards.

Yes, the show we all know and love, or don’t know and would love, The Soup brings us this funny little clip from the National Spelling Bee. A very tense moment for that little speller.

It’s Billy Collins’s poem “Workshop” and it’s so accurate, and the poem so absurd I wish I got to read the poem critiqued. It would have to be better than much of what I’ve read in workshops. There’s audio and the poem at this link. Billy Collins introduces the poem and reads it. He kind of sounds like Kevin Spacey, doesn’t he? Poets.org is just awesome. Since it’s on their website, I’d rather link to it than post it, but “How me breaking up with you is like Jon Lester pitching a no-hitter against the Royals” is a hilarious story in the form of an email. Here’s a short selection from the analogous piece:

Yes, I know we were together two years. Did you know the Royals hadn’t been no-hit for 35 years? Yes, I know how much you’ve committed to the relationship. Do you have any idea how much my collection of George Brett jerseys cost? Yes, it will be awkward for you to see me at work. You know what will be really awkward? The Arrested Development Pilot. That’s right, for those of you who have never seen the show– Meet the Bluths. For fans, remember way back in the beginning? So much changed over the course of three seasons, but the pilot’s still damned funny.

They’re kind of hard to find, in my past searching, but here someone has RAM, As in Real Video, or audio, or whatever. But it’s permanent. So everyone with a harddrive worth its weight in… I don’t know, flax, should be able to hold a fair amount of media, and these classic SNL clips are always great for the dwindling hours of a small gathering, or a late night of ‘editing’ which has consisted more of finding ways not to edit than to edit, despite its ‘fun’. Anyone with ready access to the internet knows what I’m talking about. Anyway, MrT300 has a bunch of these classic clips, of Nick Burns, Celebrity Jeopardy, The Ladies Man, The Ambiguously Gay Duo, SNL commercials and more. So have fun, watch Turd Ferguson, or consider “Below Me” and laugh and laugh without worrying about searching for the clips. Go here.

This is one of my favorite MST3K episodes, Season 3, Episode 3: Pod People. The movie may not be as bad as Manos: Hands of Fate, but it’s pretty awful, and was originally filmed in French I believe, which is why the lips don’t sync up at times. You know how most tv shows catch you up for the first five minutes of the show? The theme song catches you up like a good 80’s theme song, and you’re ready to go. Check out the whole episode in these further videos. Isn’t it cool how many shows and movies you can watch online? I think so, at least.

Is it only me who thinks that the Night of Too Many Stars should have been a benefit for Multiple Sclerosis? NoTMS… anyway, here’s a PSA from everyone’s favorite little guy McLovin that aired on NoTMS against video piracy. It’s vulgar, but if you’re on this site, you probably know by now that there was a good chance of that from the start. Enjoy.

We found a clip of it miraculously still online, and figured anyone who missed it airing live should get a chance to enjoy this funny skit. So kick your feet up, get mellow, and enjoy the next 4 minutes and 20 seconds.

We just saw it again and laughed, so we figured we’d repost it. Thank you Jay Leno, and, is it true soon Conan’s going to claim your spot? Late Night with Conan O’Brien will now be Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, which is exciting, I was worried about the little guy, especially after he made Taxi. I mean, Living Single was one thing, but Queen Latifah needs to work on the cellulite not the celluloid. That’s really mean, I didn’t mean that. But really, don’t act anymore. Maybe make another gangsta rap album. I’d probably buy it for nostalgia’s sake alone. But yes, Jimmy Fallon’s returning to a similar “Weekend Update” style role, and good, he’s good at that. Besides, my favorite Johnny Carson moments were him laughing. Few people realize how much another person’s enjoyment adds to their own… especially when it doesn’t feel fake. But Conan hasn’t officially been announced to be taking over for Leno yet, despite speculation. OK, this is way too much TV news for this site, but come on, it concerns Conan O’Brien, so it concerns us all. Conan, please take over for Jay Leno. I may actually watch some of the interviews again. OK, that’s all. Oh, this whole bit was because the image was originally on Late Night With Jay Leno. Indeed.
