America’s Best Dance Crew, yeah, I like it, so what? Top 3.
America’s Best Dance Crew is just entirely entertaining. Even though it’s on MTV. I can’t help it. The B-Boy culture’s just kinda my thing, breaking, graff, emcees and dj’s… So, a dance crew show that isn’t about salsa and pasa doble and whatever. But most importantly, the dancers do the choreography.
The top three crews were UC-Irvine’s Kaba Modern, San Diego’s Jabbawockeez, and Boston’s Status Quo. It’s been a cool show, but it was frustrating this week seeing the worst crew left being ranked number one by “America” Kaba Modern had a pretty sweet routine, which was definitely the second best of the first round. Status Quo did some cool stunts, but their dancing just seemed sloppy, like a bunch of guys who liked to flip around, but not dancers. The Jabbawockeez are just the best, sorry. They are the the best rounded crew, that headspin at the end of this show, ridiculous. But they’re just good dancers, which is something Status Quo simply isn’t.
OK. I’ve finished geeking out hip hop style for the moment. Vote for the Jabbawockeez. Here’s where you can watch them dancing, and vote. Also, on that website you can watch basically the whole show, and it’s very entertaining. Breaksk8’s routine in episode 5 was really cool too.
