Writing exercises involving dice

Walking down the street, you see that ahead of you there was a car accident, and as you get closer you see a pair of those pink fuzzy dice sitting apart from the wreck (perhaps a little singed?)

Write about a memory playing a dice game, be it Yahtzee, rolling in Monopoly, or whatever, if you don’t have said memory, make one up. A writer’s imagination is one of their best assets.

Here’s various ways to rig dice, and how people in the past have rigged dice. Browse until you find a method you like the look of, and write a piece about it in someway… be it the narrative of a cheater, someone who’s been cheated, someone who manufactures the cheating dice… you figure that part out.

Write a poem that uses the words: Dice, pocks, pirouette, Claustrophobic, and grapple as well as the smell of popcorn.
