Some writing exercises involving tile

Someone is lying on the bathroom floor, cheek pressed up against the dirty (or clean) tile remembering snippets of the night that resulted in them on the bathroom floor (really drunk perhaps?)

Describe a piece of broken (clear) glass from a bottle lying sharp edge up on the kitchen tile, just waiting to slice into a foot.

Follow a tile’s interloping pattern in a piece while thinking about something else.

Tell the story of Manuel, the tile layer who was laying the narrator’s tile and sliced off the tip of his left index finger in the process. Layer it though, somehow with the narrator’s love life.
